2014 High School Graduation
« on: June 26, 2014, 10:27:16 PM »

On Friday, May 30, 2014, ZCS held its 34th Commencement Exercise.  There were two graduates in the ZCS Class of 2014 - Cara Marie Brown and Brooke Leigh Lucas.  Cara was the class valedictorian and Brooke was salutatorian.  They were challenged by Mr. Izaac VanderSchel, Director of Peniel Bible Camp. The theme of his message was "Living a Legacy" taken from I Thessalonians 1:2-8.  The focus of the challenge was that both Thessalonians and graduates are uniquely positioned, applauded for accomplishment, and encouraged to press on to display even more...

  • Abiding actions - work produced by faith, labor prompted by love, and endurance inspired by hope
  • Enduring example - genuine discipleship, definitive impact

The evidence of that work of faith, labor of love, and endurance of hope is a gospel message that is clearly seen and heard through our lives. The high school quartet "God of Heaven" and the volleyball team sang "I Will Serve My Lord".  There was a reception for Cara and Brooke, their families, and guests in Room 2.
