Title: WHAT WERE YOU DOING ON 9/11/01
Post by: jwalsh on September 07, 2008, 08:45:17 PM
AS 9/11 COMES THIS WEEK DO WE REMEBER WHAT WE WERE DOING ON THAT DAY WHEN THE TOWERS FELL?

REMEBER TO PRAY FOR THOSE WHO ARE STILL SUFFERING.

I was working at Bethesda Hospital and one of my co-workers knew my parents were in Washington D.C. and were going to be at the White House that very morning. She came into my office and said, "Becky, I think you had better come look at this news report." Needless, to say I prayed for their safety. As it turned out, when they were about to walk into the White House a staffer came out through the door and shouted, "Run for your lives!" Of course I learned of this many hours later after I was able to speak with them by phone. I will NEVER forget that day.... EVER. I just watched the movie last night of the flight that went down in the Pennsylvania field. They were heroes, indeed! I will pray for those that still grieve and suffer because of that day.

I was working Local Control at the air traffic control tower.  We worked for an hour to ground all of the flights, and then silence.  No airplanes flying at all.

It was a day that I will remember forever.

I was at school. The teachers brought in tv's and we watched it go down. I remember seeing the second one hit the tower live I think.
