Licking County tops Zanesville in finals
HEATH - Noah Medich put Zanesville Christian within three going into the final quarter, but Licking County outscored the Warriors 22-8 en route to a 72-55 victory in the Buckeye Christian School Association Championship Saturday.
Medich, who finished with 10 points and six rebounds, earned the MVP of the tournament and was named first team in the Ohio Christian Conference (OCC).

Eric Brown added 11 and six boards for the Warriors (9-5) as he was named to the all-tournament team. Brown and Tyler Collins were also selected to the All-OCC second team.

Chase Harris added 11 and Justin Thrush 10 off the bench for the Warriors, who connected on 3 of 12 field goals in the final stanza.

Zanesville Christian trailed 18-12 after one and 35-26 at the break as the team made 23 of 58 and had just three offensive boards.

Nate Humphrey posted 46 points for Licking County as it was 19 of 27 from the line while Zanesville Christian was 4 of 5.
